Role Overview:
Support agronomy efforts at the Hawaii Research Center focusing on producing high-quality seed. Key responsibilities include assisting with crop protection, land planning, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), equipment operation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate agronomy operations, scheduling, and equipment use (tractors, sprayers).
• Assist with chemical inventory, IPM activities, spraying, and equipment maintenance.
• Data entry and record keeping for agronomy databases and regulatory compliance.
• Support crop scouting, handweeding, planting, pollinations, and field maintenance.
• Assist with protocol development for spraying, mowing, and crop protection activities.
• Operate field equipment safely and maintain chemical storage per guidelines.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and support short- and long-term planning.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of tropical agriculture experience preferred (IPM spray, equipment operation).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with data entry.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work outdoors in tropical conditions and lift 20–40 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse teams.
• Flexibility for seasonal work hours, including evenings and weekends.
